The PBM-3B Mariner was a long-range American maritime patrol bomber developed by the Martin Company during World War II. This twin-engine seaplane was designed for anti-submarine warfare reconnaissance and coastal bombing missions. Equipped with a large wingspan and capable of carrying a substantial bomb load the PBM-3B could also deploy depth charges and torpedoes. Its amphibious design allowed it to land on water for resupply or evacuation making it highly versatile in the Pacific and Atlantic theaters.
