USS Missouri BB-63 is an Iowa-class battleship. Also known as Big Mo or Mighty Mo, the Missouri was the last battleship commissioned by the United States and is best remembered as the site of the surrender of the Empire of Japan, which ended World War II. Built in the Brooklyn Navy Yard she was commissioned in 1944 and served with distinction until 1992 earning 11 Battle Stars over her illustrious career.
