About the AS.42 Sahariana
Developed from the chassis of the AB 41 armoured car, the AS.42 Sahariana was built for long-range patrol and raiding operations in the North African desert, valued for its low silhouette and mobility over sand. Roughly 100 were produced between 1942 and 1943, and depending on configuration it could carry a Breda 20/65 machine gun, a 47/32 anti-tank gun, or a 20mm Solothurn rifle.
