About the Bugatti Type 41 Royale
Built by Bugatti on an artisan scale between 1929 and 1933, only six examples of the Type 41 Royale were produced, each fitted with an engine of over 12,000 cm3 displacement, among the largest ever built for a production car. The six cars shared the same chassis and engine but differed in bodywork; the Coupe Napoleon, notable for its two-tone black and blue bodywork and velvet interior, was the first built in chassis order and served as Ettore Bugatti's personal car for many years.
