The F-86 Sabre was a transonic jet fighter developed by North American Aviation in the 1940s. First introduced in 1949 the F-86 became one of the most iconic aircraft of the Korean War where it achieved significant success against Soviet-built MiG-15 fighters. With its sleek swept-wing design and powerful J47 engine the F-86 was renowned for its speed agility and firepower. It was armed with six .50 caliber Browning M3 machine guns and could carry rockets or bombs for ground attack missions.
