About the Heinkel P.1078
The Heinkel P.1078 was a single-seat interceptor concept developed under Germany's wartime Emergency Fighter Program, intended to use the Heinkel-Hirth He S 011 turbojet engine to defend against Allied bombing raids. The design was never built beyond the proposal stage before the war ended, and it remains known today as one of the many unrealized "paper project" aircraft of that period.
