About the A6M5 Zero
The A6M Zero entered service with the Imperial Japanese Navy in 1940 and became known for its long range and exceptional maneuverability early in the Pacific War. The A6M5 variant, introduced in 1943, added shortened wingtips and structural reinforcement to improve diving speed and roll rate.
