The Pure Hell name was already famous before the Dodge Demon funny car beginning with Rich Guasco's wild AA/Fuel Altered from the 1960s. In the early 1970s Guasco brought that same name attitude and showmanship into the funny car era with a purple Dodge Demon-bodied AA/FC. The car became a striking part of drag racing history and is remembered for its powerful appearance Pure Hell graphics and connection to legendary drivers and events.
