About the Pak 40
Entering service in early 1941, the Pak 40 became the standard anti-tank gun of the German army during World War II. Weighing about 1,500 kg, it was able to penetrate a 70mm plate at a range of 2,000 meters, and a modified version of the gun was also mounted on tank destroyers such as the Marder, StuG III and Hetzer.
