About the Mi-24 Hind
The Mi-24 entered service with Soviet forces in the early 1970s, valued for its heavy armor, rugged airframe and substantial firepower, and it went on to serve widely with air forces of the former Eastern Bloc. The type has been upgraded repeatedly over its service life; the Mi-24P "Hind-F" variant added a fixed twin-barrel 30mm cannon mounted on the fuselage's starboard side, and the latest variant, the Mi-35P, has been in production since 2020.
