The Sd.Kfz. 250/3 Greif was a specialized light armored half-track used by German forces during World War II primarily as a command and communications vehicle. Based on the Sd.Kfz. 250 chassis it was equipped with advanced radio equipment allowing commanders to coordinate fast moving operations across the battlefield. The most famous example nicknamed Greif was used by Erwin Rommel in North Africa. Lightly armored but highly mobile it could traverse rough terrain while maintaining reliable communication links.
